Services provided by our Book Editors:

• Correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
• Correct errors in sentence structure and language usage
• Make note of recommended changes in wording or phrasing to improve the readability of the manuscript
• Insert notes throughout the document where approval from a third-party may be required
• Correct commonly known errors (e.g. "Hillary Clinton, the senator from New Jersey" to "Hillary Clinton, the senator from New York")
• Our book editors will not:
• Restructure sentences.
  
• Alter word choices, except in obvious situations.

How the Basic Edit process works:

• The editor will have the entire manuscript edited within 15-25 business days from the date that you upload the manuscript to be edited to the Affordable Book Editing Website. The edited manuscript will be returned in a format in which you can see the edits/deletions and can either accept or reject them (using the Track Changes feature of Microsoft Word).

Services provided by our Book Editors:

• Include all items in the basic editing package
• Conduct a telephone consultation with the author (after first review edit) to allow for clarification of any suggested changes, recommendations, editing process concerns, and/or questions
• Include a second complete manuscript review edit after author revisions and telephone consultation
• Review the organization of the material to ensure that theories (for nonfiction) or characterization and plot narrative (for fiction) are developed fully and that the manuscript is in a well organized format
• Provide light research to ensure accuracy (such as commonly used quotations or statistics)
• Ensure that plot line/narrative, dialogue, continuity, and characterization are consistent
• Make note of instances where material may stray from its intended purpose
• Remove erroneous or irrelevant information
• Ensure consistency throughout by noting or correcting the author's use of specific terminology, etc
• Our book editors will not:
• Reorganize paragraphs to make them more logical to the reader
• Provide a complete fact check of the manuscript

How the Comprehensive Edit process works:

• The editor will have the entire manuscript edited within 15-25 business days from the date that you upload/submit the manuscript to be edited to the Affordable Book Editing Website. The edited manuscript will be returned in a format in which you can see the edits/deletions and can either accept or reject them (using the Track Changes feature of Microsoft Word).
• After you review the first round edited manuscript, you will return the revised manuscript (clean, all Track Changes either accepted or rejected) to the Affordable Book Editing Website and note your availability for the telephone consultation. After you have had your telephone consultation with the editor, the second round edit will commence, and will be uploaded within 10-15 business days of that date.
